Sixty-four third-year undergraduates from the Department of Architecture and Planning NIT Calicut analysed the tidal and brackish Akalapuzha River in the Kozhikode district, Kerala, as part of their Landscape Architecture Studio.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Together, we looked at three zones along the vast river landscape of Akalapuzha by observing and collecting insightful knowledge on the water landscape elements, waterworks, and water stories. The concept behind the workshop was to test together (instructors and students) the methodology developed within Traditional Water System research (part of CWS research) in a workshop setting.<\/p>\n\n\n\n The \u201cKerala Water Stories\u201d workshop was joined and shared with Ewout de Wit, Dutch Consul General, and Sandra Kalidien, Attach\u00e9 for Science, Technology and Innovation of the Embassy of Netherlands.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Thanks for the warm welcome to Dr Mohammed Firoz and the Department of Architecture and Planning of the National Institute of Technology of Calicut.
